Комсомо́льск-на-Аму́ре — город в Хабаровском крае России. Административный центр Комсомольского муниципального района. Образует муниципальное образование городской округ «Город Комсомольск-на-Амуре».

Население города — 251 283[4] чел. (2016), второй по величине город края и четвёртый на Дальнем Востоке России. Расположен на левом берегу реки Амур, в 404 км к северо-востоку от Хабаровска (по автодороге)[5]. Расстояние от Москвы по прямой - 6200 км, по автодорогам — 8700 км.

Крупнейший промышленный центр дальневосточного региона. Градообразующие предприятия: судостроительный, авиазавод, нефтеперерабатывающий и металлургический заводы. Нефтепровод и газопровод с Сахалина. Транспортный узел на Байкало-Амурской магистрали и автодороге регионального значения; речной порт. Имеются технический и педагогический университеты.

Образован отрядами комсомольцев в 1932 году посреди тайги на месте села Пермское, основанного в 1860 году и нанайского стойбища «Дземги». В советское время был военно-промышленным центром союзного значения[6]. В период с 1959 по 1993 год город был закрыт для посещения иностранцами. Исторически сложившееся название — «город Юности».
