«Дом призраков» — один из лучших мистических триллеров, когда-либо просмотренных мной.

В нем нет дорогостоящих спецэффектов, нет трупов, встающих из могил, нет сцен, пропитанных кровью и насилием, но есть та таинственная, жутковатая атмосфера, которая держит вас у экрана 108 минут, в течение которых вы усердно пытаетесь понять, что же не так. И почему Вам все-таки страшно? Вроде бы все совершенно обычно: милый английский особнячок, трое повзрослевших детей и их немного чокнутая нянька. Да ещё и приехавший из города профессор-психолог, разоблачающий медиумов. Ничего необычного… Но! Вот это самое «но» не позволяло мне отрываться от экрана.

Отдельно хочется отметить великолепную игру актёров: Эйдан Куинн — очень убедителен и искренен, а Кейт Бекинсейл, как всегда, великолепна — и как актриса, и как просто женщина.

Фильм стоит обязательно посмотреть хотя бы из-за его финала. Когда всё буквально переворачивается, черное становиться белым, а белое — чёрным. Когда ты, наконец-то, понимаешь, в чем заключалось та самая атмосфера, то напряжение, те мурашки по коже и то, сверлящее мозг, «но»…

Захватывающий, яркий, красивый, мистический фильм. Я обязательно пересмотрю его позже. Однако, впечатление от первого просмотра, конечно же, более глубокое и сильное.
