Уважаемый господин Председатель, дамы и господа,

Год назад с этой же трибуны на юбилейной сессии Генеральной Ассамблеи ООН было высказано немало правильных оценок состояния дел на нынешнем переломном этапе мирового развития. Лейтмотивом было признание, что человечество, переходя от биполярного и монополярного миропорядка к объективно формирующейся полицентричной, демократической системе международных отношений, сталкивается с общими для всех вызовами и угрозами, преодолеть которые можно только совместными усилиями. Справедливо указывалось на необходимость изменения философии межгосударственного общения, исключив попытки вмешиваться во внутренние дела государств, навязывать модели развития странам и народам.

К сожалению, среди политических элит ряда западных стран глубоко укоренились идеи менторства, превосходства, исключительности, реализации своих интересов любыми средствами в ущерб выстраиванию справедливого и равноправного взаимодействия. К чему приводит чувство собственной непогрешимости в продавливании односторонних авантюрных решений сложнейших конфликтов и кризисов – мы видим на примере кровоточащего региона Ближнего Востока и Севера Африки. В результате разрушается фундамент мировой стабильности.
