Язык представляет собой единство взаимосвязанных и взаимодействующих уровней (аспектов), образующих целостную систему. Одним из уровней этой системы является звуковой строй языка. Его изучением занимается фонетика - самостоятельная лингвистическая дисциплина.
Фонетика – единственная дисциплина, отвечающая за физику языка. В этом состоит исключительная важность и специфика этого уровня языка.
