Смешивание реагентов производилось в среде этиленгликоля (ЭГ): 1 М растворы дигидрата хлорида кальция и карбоната натрия одинаковых объемов смешивались с этиленгликолем, а затем между собой. Содержание этиленгликоля в смеси составляло 83% от ее общего объема. Перемешивание реакционной смеси осуществлялось с помощью магнитной мешалки со скоростью 500 оборотов в минуту в течение 3 часов при комнатной температуре. Осадок (частицы карбоната кальция)промывали три раза этиловым спиртом и высушивался при температуре 60 в течение 30 минут.
