Пора извлечь уроки и не допустить сползания к катастрофе в Сирии. Во многом благодаря российскому военному содействию законному сирийскому правительству в ответ на его просьбу удалось не допустить коллапса государственности и распада этой страны под натиском террористов. Наша вовлеченность стимулировала создание Международной группы поддержки Сирии (МГПС) в интересах налаживания полноценного политического процесса для определения будущего страны самими сирийцами через инклюзивный диалог всех этно-конфессиональных групп. Этот безальтернативный курс был закреплен в резолюциях Совета Безопасности ООН и нашел практическое воплощение в недавних договоренностях России и США как сопредседателей МГПС.

Главное сейчас – не допустить развала этих договоренностей, объективно и беспристрастно расследовать подрывающие их инциденты в Дейр эз-Зоре и Алеппо, тем более, что желающих саботировать согласованные уже подходы к сирийскому урегулированию немало. Принципиально важно выполнить требование СБ ООН об отмежевании т.н. умеренной оппозиции от террористов, и здесь особая ответственность лежит на членах возглавляемой США коалиции. Отказ или неспособность сделать это в нынешних условиях не может не укреплять подозрения, что «Джебхат ан-Нусру» хотят вывести из-под удара и что планы смены режима никуда не делись, а это - грубейшее нарушение резолюции СБ ООН. Разрешить сирийский кризис и выправить удручающую гуманитарную ситуацию не удастся без подавления ИГИЛ, «Джебхат ан-Нусры» и слившихся с ней экстремистских группировок. Это – ключ к укреплению режима прекращения боевых действий, к достижению общенационального перемирия. Недопустимо и медлить с началом межсирийских переговоров без каких-либо предварительных условий – как того и требует резолюция 2254 СБ ООН. Откровенный саботаж политического процесса отдельными представителями зарубежной оппозиции при попустительстве их покровителей негативно сказывается на репутации ООН и опять же наводит на мысль о том, что и здесь причина может корениться в стремлении создать предлог для попытки смены режима.
