Збереження документальної спадщини

Збереження документальної спадщини минулого – справа державної ваги й ознака цивілізованості, тому перед музеями та архівами стоїть складна проблема – зберегти масив найрізноманітніших культурно-історичних надбань, створених людством.
Зібрання Національного музею історії України у Другій світовій війні. Меморіальний комплекс – близько 470 тис. музейних предметів – невід’ємна частина Державного музейного фонду України.
Особливе місце в музейній колекції посідають експонати на паперовій основі, яких у фондах музею налічується близько 210 тис. одиниць.
Наприкінці травня 2009 р. до Меморіального комплексу за консультацією звернулися колеги з Чернігівського обласного історичного музею ім. В.В. Тарновського. Пошуковці громадської організації «Патріот» передали обласному музею металевий сейф із документами, знайдений на місці оборонних боїв за Чернігів у 1941 р.
Особлива увага в музеї приділяється збереженню документальних пам’яток.
Вирішення цих питань має комплексний характер, який поєднує зусилля спеціалістів різних професій.
