Единственным источником, в котором содержится хоть какая-нибудь информация про строительство пирамид в Древнем Египте, являются описания Геродота. Собственно, на этих описаниях и основана первая теория. Итак, основные положения этой технологии:

Камни для строительства добывались в карьерах, где они выдалбливались инструментами;
Транспортировку камней до места строительства осуществляли с помощью ручной силы рабов, предварительно проложив до пункта назначения широкую прочную дорогу;
Непосредственно возведение пирамиды осуществлялось поэтапно, уступами. Первоначально укладывались самые нижние камни, что можно было сделать без каких-либо дополнительных приспособлений. Для всех последующих ступеней пирамиды использовали деревянные помосты. Причем один и тот же помост по завершении строительства одной ступени попросту переносили на следующую ступень.
